This process and
mediation are similar in that the evaluator helps to guide the
parties towards identifying the issues, finding points of
compromise, and negotiation a settlement. However, in mediation, the
mediator does not make recommendations. In the Cooperative
Evaluation process, the evaluator makes recommendations and the work
together to facilitate a settlement based on what is believed to be
in the best interest of the children.

disruption for the children.
